Chapter 40
Chapter 40
Sleep is the First Productivity
Shuangyun: "I'm taking the elevator down now. Don't leave early. See you at home."
Shuangyun put away her phone and walked out of the restroom, seeing Steve in the distance.
Actually... not an ex-boyfriend. A hunting target Shuangyun had scoped out during class before. Great body, but unfortunately small brain, too much machismo. Shuangyun couldn't have a conversation with him at all. Dumped after three days.
As for the name... he was indeed Chinese, but because they'd broken up so quickly, Shuangyun hadn't even asked his Chinese name.
Seeing Steve, Shuangyun immediately averted her gaze and quickly entered the elevator.
She also heard Steve shout: "Shuangyun Liang!"
The elevator door closed at the right moment.
Shuangyun let out a long breath.
Steve stood in place watching Shuangyun disappear from afar. He heard a friend next to him say: "Do you know that girl?"
Steve: "What do you mean?"
The friend said again: "That's Landon's girlfriend he brought today."
When Cheng Lang opened his card, he saw a special line among the dense blessings:
"Add my WeChat xxxxxx, I'll tell you about Shuangyun Liang."
Cheng Lang thought it was probably the ex-boyfriend Shuangyun had mentioned.
Since he'd already appeared here, didn't he have the courage to face him directly?
Cheng Lang still added his WeChat, wanting to know what he would say.
The other person quickly accepted the request.
Sixty-second voice messages immediately bombarded over.
Cheng Lang didn't click to listen, converted them all to text.
The content was almost all attacks on Shuangyun—saying how promiscuous she was, how she slept with people then kicked them away, turned her back and didn't acknowledge them. Advising him to be careful about his health, not to catch some unknown disease from her.
The wording was very harsh. Cheng Lang's brows unconsciously furrowed.
The person also sent Shuangyun's dating history, saying how frequently she changed men. Warning him not to think he was special. Her WeChat Moments were only open to hunting targets. You thought you were seeing her life, but it was actually her trap.
Cheng Lang thought of Shuangyun's WeChat Moments.
But... if Shuangyun was really as bad as he said, why would he be so angry? Men weren't that kind-hearted.
The other side was still sending voice messages. Cheng Lang replied: "Spreading rumors is illegal."
That side suddenly went quiet. Then sent a message: "No one can keep Shuangyun Liang. Don't think you're special."
Cheng Lang blocked his WeChat.
A black marker covered that line of information on the card. Cheng Lang got up and went home.
He really wanted to see Shuangyun quickly.
The car parked in the garage. The elevator went up to the 10th floor.
Opening the door, Shuangyun wasn't in his home.
The surrounding sounds seemed to enter a vacuum at this moment.
Cheng Lang should have actually gone upstairs to see if she was in her own apartment, but at this moment, as if possessed, Cheng Lang opened her WeChat Moments.
—Found he couldn't see anything.
